If you hit triple digits, you deserve a big party.
That’s what Thelma “Tim” Boudreaux got for her 100th birthday on Feb. 1 at the Healdsburg senior living community on Grove Street.
“It’s lovely to see all these people,” she said. “I have such a wonderful family.”
Family came from South Carolina, Baton Rouge and even Weisbaden, Germany to share in the festivities.
Boudreaux is no stranger to travel herself. She said her husband was a doctor in the military and that his work took them to many places.
The trick to feeling young at 100, she said, is simple: take advantage of your opportunities.
“Enjoy life, spend your days being pleasant and keep busy,” Boudreaux said.
It’s been a good life so far for Boudreaux and she doesn’t plan on changing a winning formula. She plans to continue to be involved in the happenings at the community and in Healdsburg.
