Healdsburg City Council will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. at city hall, 401 Grove St. An hour before this, at 5 p.m. at city hall, council will go over Measure V survey results at a special meeting.
At the regular meeting, the city will recognize a literary laureate for 2019-20, Jennifer Alvarez. She has written The Guardian Herd series, The Pet Washer series and the Riders of the Realm series, now in its first installment. According to her website, her fiction is accessible to youth at the middle-grade level and incorporates her love of animals.
In the consent calendar, the council will have a letter of support for the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project to approve. The road closures for St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17 will be addressed. The amendment for the Professional Services Agreement will also be reviewed and possibly approved for Economic and Planning Systems. There will also be an auditing agreement in the consent items for Moss, Levy & Hartzheim, as well as accepting several easements on Johnson Street.
The Local Preference Policy wording will also likely be approved on the consent agenda. Minor changes were suggested at last meeting to the document to more clearly prioritize and explain what the preference entails. This document is to encourage people with ties to the city to return, especially as housing projects are concerned.
Old business includes appointment of commissioners to both the Senior Citizen and Parks and Recreation commissions.
New business will include reports from the Affordable Housing Master Plan and relocation assistance efforts.Â
