Healdsburg City Hall

Healdsburg City Council will meet at city hall, 401 Grove St., on Monday, March 18.
Council will recognize Bill Coleman for his years of service putting together the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The city this year picked up where Coleman had left off as cosponsor of the parade along with the Kiwanis Club.
After that will be an Arbor Day presentation.
The council will also examine an appeal for the Matheson restaurant project and may pass a motion to deny the appeal and affirm the planning commission’s decision.
The only new business council will hear is a presentation on the city’s smoking policy. Possible changes that will be directed to staff are in regard to hotels and multi-family residential units like apartment complexes. Based on the city manager report, direction will likely be to ban smoking in multi-family units and in their common areas and to ban smoking in all hotel/motel lodging, as opposed to the current 50 percent restriction.
