The Healdsburg City Council will meet for its regular session at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 15, at city hall, 401 Grove St.
Prior to that meeting, there will be a goal setting session at 3 p.m. There will also be a closed session at 8 a.m. that will address price and terms of payment for the property at 1302 Prentice Ave.
During the regular meeting, the council will continue to discuss the city’s pension liability funding. A resolution may be adopted approving a funding structure.
New business will include the first reading of the city’s updated smoking ordinance. The ordinance will now include a smoking ban in multi-family homes like apartment complexes.
The city may also adopt a resolution to be zero-waste by 2030.
There will be a proclamation to make April 26 Children’s Memorial Day.
Other presentations are the annual Marie Sparks Memorial Volunteer Award and naming the reserve firefighter of the year. The annual Marie Sparks Memorial Volunteer Award for 2019 will be awarded to Rodger Dormire and Joe Gellura for outstanding volunteerism benefiting the residents and community of Healdsburg.
There will also be an annual update from the fire department.
Two items are on the consent calendar. They are a letter of support for St. Joseph/Adventist Health Joint Operating Company and an amendment to the professional services agreement with Economic and Planning Systems.
The amendment is to provide services related to housing policy in Healdsburg in an amount not to exceed $20,000, authorizing the city manager to execute the agreement, and increasing the fiscal year 2018-19 budget by $20,000.
