An inaugural Healdsburg Tastemaker Weekend, hosted by the Healdsburg Tourism Improvement District (HTID) was attended by 160 people and raised $1,630 for the Healdsburg High School Culinary Arts Program.
“We are honored to support our local high school culinary students with this contribution from our first Healdsburg Tastemaker Weekend,” said Holly Fox, chair of the Healdsburg Tourism Improvement District. “We consider this an investment in Healdsburg’s future tastemakers and can’t wait to see what these young students do with their talents.”
Attendees participated in various food, wine and tasting experiences including a pastry class and Costeaux Bakery, high tea at Jordan Winery, a wine cave dinner at Rafanelli Winery, a distillery class at Alley 6, a wild mushroom foray and other up-close experiences.
The HTID is comprised of 35 lodging and hospitality members that collects surcharges on overnight room rentals to fund promotions, events and community groups throughout the year.
