Emily Rudd – Beloved family Matriarch

Emily Rudd passed away peacefully on Sept. 27, 2006. Emily was
the loving wife of the late Stanley G. Rudd, mother of Gary J. Rudd
(wife Jean) of Live Oak, Calif., Robert S. Rudd (wife Nancy) of
Santa Clara, James G. Rudd (wife Jeanie) of Healdsburg. She was the
loving grandmother of nine and great grandmother of 12 and aunt of
two loving nieces, Sue Helzer of Santa Rosa and Lynn Christian of
Windsor.
Emily was born in San Jose on March 10, 1916 where she attended
schools and married Stan on March 13, 1935. She was very busy from
day to day as a stay at home mom. She thoroughly enjoyed gardening,
cooking and sewing for the family and the activities of living on a
fruit ranch.
In 1969, Emily and Stan moved to Healdsburg to live on a small
prune ranch in Alexander Valley. Later, they moved to Westside Road
in Healdsburg to retire where Stan passed away in 1993.
