to 11 a.m. No reservations. Open seating on a first come, first
served basis.
December 19 – Healdsburg Museum Magic Toyland Exhibit,
Grandparents’ Open House 1 to 3 p.m. Bring grandchildren for toys,
games, puzzles, storytelling and treats.
December 19 – Holiday Gathering and Hike at Ranchero Mark West,
All ages welcome, easy to moderate walking/hiking followed by
music, hot cider and activities of the season. 12 to 4 p.m. Must

December 20 – Healdsburg Literary Guild Third Sunday Salon, City
Hall, 2 to 4 p.m. Free and open to the public.

January 5 – Graduation Celebration Meeting, 7 p.m. Good Shepherd
Lutheran Church, 1402 University Street. All underclassmen parents
should be helping with this all night party for our graduates.
January 5 through 31 – Plaza Arts Center “Running the Gamut”,
very large and very small works, an all media show. 130 Plaza
Street, open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
January 6 – Healdsburg Museum Volunteer Association meeting,
City Hall, 9:30 a.m. New members are always welcome.
January 11 – Healdsburg Garden Club meeting, Villa Chanticleer,
“All about Bats” by Patricia Winters, 1 p.m. New members always
welcome.
January 12 – Center Literary Café, Healdsburg Senior Center, 7
to 9 p.m. Open to the public.
January 19 – Healdsburg Education Foundation Board Meeting, High
School Wendt Library, 5:30 p.m. Call 433-1223 to confirm meeting
time, date and location.
Rising Star Outreach is a non-profit organization that works in
leprosy colonies just outside Chennai, India to help them become
thriving, self-sufficient communities as well as educating the
colony children in a safe, healthy environment. Finish up your
holiday shopping and support a wonderful non-profit as well.

The Healdsburg Animal Shelter is looking for “Pet of the Week”
sponsors for next year. You can do it one time, monthly, or even
for the year. Each week is $100. These ads are critical in getting
the pictures of our homeless animals in the public eye. The Shelter
is also accepting donations to their Cat and Dog Holiday Toy and
Treat Fund. They are looking for donations of holiday toys, treats,
beds, blankets, anything warm and fuzzy for our animals. Or you can
donate money and the staff will purchase what they need. Please
send your donations to the Healdsburg Animal Shelter, 570 Westside

Don’t forget the Holiday Gift Gallery Show at Plaza Arts Center
that runs through December 31. Fun place for more holiday shopping.
The Arts Center is located at 130 Plaza Street and is open daily
from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Healdsburg Literary Guild is sponsoring an All-Age Contest:
Poetry or Prose 2010. Deadline for submissions is December 31. One
page maximum per entry. There will be prizes. Email inquiries to

Healthcare Foundation Northern Sonoma County is selling a 2010
Calendar featuring Northern Sonoma County Historic Postcards. Cost
is only $10 and can be purchased at Big John’s Market,
Copperfield’s Books, Levin and Company, Hospital Gift Shop, and
other fine shops throughout the community or by calling
473-0583.
Farm to Pantry is available to harvest any excess produce you
may have in your garden or orchard and get it to the Healdsburg
Food Pantry and the Senior Center. They have folks ready to work so
just log on to farmtopantry.org or call Melita Love
at 431-0425.
