Carlos “Charlie” Villarreal was born in Harlingen, TX on
November 2, 1949, and passed away peacefully on July 25, 2008 with
his “Gran Familia” at his side. He is preceded in death by his
parents Rafael and Guadalupe Villarreal, and brother Jose
Villarreal. He is survived by his brothers Juan and Gilbert
Villarreal (Sally and Carmen), sisters Maria Espitia (Mario),
Hortencia Galvez (Frank), Julia Diaz (George), and Anna Godoy
(Joe), and sister-in-law Joyce Villarreal. He also leaves behind 23
nieces and nephews, 46 great nieces and nephews, numerous aunts and
uncles, as well as many friends. Charlie lived in Geyserville most
of his life. He graduated from Geyserville High School and joined
the Marines, with whom he fought for his country in the Vietnam War
for four years. He had a love for music, family, and friends.
Charlie will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, and
Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2008 – both at
St. John’s Church, 208 Matheson St., Healdsburg. Military Honors
will follow the Mass at Olive Hill Cemetery in Geyserville.
