May Day in Geyserville
Since 1925, Geyserville has been celebrating the coming of spring with a traditional dance around the May Pole.
The event takes place this Sunday, May 1, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Hoffman Picnic Grounds, Canyon Road and Geyserville Avenue.
The crowning of the May Day Queen is at 1:30 and the May Pole dance, performed by the Geyserville Elementary third graders is at 2 p.m.
There will be live music, a jump room and a rock climbing wall, along with a performance by the Ballet Folklorico, Kiwanis rib cook off, beer, wine and more. The event is sponsored by the Geyserville Chamber of Commerce.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are bringing their version of bawdy frivolity to Healdsburg, Saturday, April 30, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Dry Creek Inn.
The event, priced at $50 a ticket, includes a reception with the sisters featuring Italian specialties from Mama Tina’s Ravioli, wine from Roadhouse and Selby Wineries, beer from Bear Republic, a silent auction, followed by the irreverent Sisters Bingo.
All proceeds go to charity and the event includes a silent auction and raffle.

Play at HHS
this Friday
The final production of the school year for the Healdsburg High School Drama Department is “Papers,” a series of 14 absurdist one-acts written by the Class of 2016.
HHS seniors wrote the scenes and the advanced drama students (above) are interpreting them for an audience.
The play will be performed on Friday, April 29, at 8:15 p.m. in Frost Hall at the high school.
