Arlene L. Blair-Raymond – Leaves nine
great-grandchildren
Arlene Blair-Raymond died in Santa Rosa on Jan. 8, 2009. She
leaves behind her husband David C. Raymond of Forestville; sons
Terry J. Penry (Darryl) of Petaluma, Ken P. Blair (Sam) of
Albuquerque, NM, and Kevin M. Blair (Laura) of Rohnert Park;
daughters Nadine L. Tucker of Santa Rosa, and Janice M. Hernandez
(David) of Petaluma.
Blair was Mother-in-law of John Tucker; step mother of Mike
Raymond of Barstow and Earl Raymond (Marina) of GA; grandmother of
Frank W. Penry, Kimberlee A. Penry, Jason L. Tucker, Erik L.
Tucker, Valene M. Tucker, Jeremy W. Tucker, Karli B. Stearns,
Kristina L. Trauba, Kevin R. Blair, Daniel M. Blair, Christopher J.
Blair, Rachel L. Hernandez and Brittany L. Hernandez. She left
behind nine great-grandchildren, and is also survived by several
step-grandchildren. Blair was a native of San Francisco and died at
the age of 74. She was also a member of St. Elizabeth Church,
Guerneville.
Patricia Marie Maloney Stratton – Led a rich and active
life
Patricia Marie Maloney Stratton passed away last weekend of
natural causes at her home. A celebration of her life by her family
and close friends will be held this Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at her
home located at 120 Philip Drive, Healdsburg. Friends and family
are invited to drop by anytime between 12:30 and 3 p.m. to visit
and remember.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be
made to the Healdsburg Animal Shelter in Patsy’s name. The
family wishes to express its gratitude to her many friends that
were part of her rich and active life.
Jack Alex Seldner – Healdsburg Hospital Pharmacy
Director for 25 years
After a five year battle with cancer, Jack passed away at home
on Jan. 13, 2009 with family and friends at his side. Born in
Germany on Aug. 24, 1947, Jack was placed in an orphanage until he
was adopted at age nine. He was raised in Connecticut and
California graduating from Taft High School in 1965. He served as a
sergeant in the Army Special Forces as a Green Beret medic and
weapons expert. Jack worked his way through college and received a
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from USC. He moved to Sonoma County in
1976 and worked as Director of Pharmacy at Healdsburg Hospital for
25 years. He was an avid golfer and storyteller. During his
retirement, he volunteered as a 7th grade math tutor at Roseland
Charter School. Jack will be lovingly remembered for his funny
stories and impish nature. Jack is survived by his wife Linda;
stepsons, Matthew (Carol), David (Loriena), Thomas (Jessica), and
Christopher (Maggie); grandsons Josh, Jonathan, Joey, Nathaniel,
Michael, Jordon, James and Charlie; granddaughters Samantha and
Naomi; step mother Betty Seldner; mother-in-law Lena Rhodes; and
step sisters Debby and Pat. Friends are invited to attend Memorial
Services on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Daniels Chapel
of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Ave., Santa Rosa. Private Inurnment,
Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, Dixon, CA. If desired,
donations in Jack’s memory may be made to the Roseland Charter
School or to the Living Room.
