Robert L. Dupret – Trail Blazer for more than 40
years
Robert Dupret died on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at home in Monte
Rio at the age of 86. Dupret was a 50 year member of the Masonic
Lodge, #295 in Guerneville, the Scottish Rite in the East Bay and
the Shriner’s of Santa Rosa. He was a member for more than 40 years
of the Sonoma County Trail Blazers and a Member of the Sonoma
County Fair Board for 12 years, following that, an honorary Fair
Board member. He was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, World War II.
He was co-owner with his father of the Sea View Lumber Company at
Fort Ross and was a lumberman for 26 years on the coast. He was
also a Racing Official for the State of California for 30
years.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances Dupret of Monte
Rio; his children, Matthew Dupret of Petaluma, Jane Grundstrom of
Santa Rosa, and Nancy (Timothy) Forry of Guerneville; his brother,
Richard (Mary) Dupret of Oregon; his grandsons, Darrel, Robert and
Jared Dupret, Greg Grundstrom, Thomas and Lance Wallace, Jenny
Lopez and 12 great-grandchildren. Dupret was preceded in death by
his son Thomas Dupret.
The family would like to acknowledge the special care of his
caretaker Pat and Dr. Thomas Yatteau.
Cherryle F. Lewis – Grew up in Healdsburg
Cheri, a long time Santa Rosa resident, died March, 2009 at age
58. She is survived by her children: Ernie Camacho, Andy Camacho
(wife Sadie), Robert Lewis and Patricia Lewis, and grandchildren
James, Ian and Elora. Cheri grew up in Healdsburg, graduating from
Healdsburg High as Cheri Solem, and worked many years as executive
secretary to the treasurer of Sonoma County. She will also be
missed by her brothers, sisters, and extended family. A Memorial
Service was held at noon on April 4, at Windsor Healdsburg
Mortuary, 9660 Old Redwood Hwy., Windsor, CA.
