Frank Basili – Bartender and restaurant
manager

A celebration of life for Frank Basili will be held on March 7,
2009. Frank was born July 18, 1922 and passed away February 24,
2009 at the age of 86. He was born in San Francisco to Casar Basili
and Romona (Paoli) Basili of Florence, Italy. He grew up in North
Beach district of San Francisco and married Shirley Asplin, moved
to Healdsburg in 1957. He worked as a bartender and restaurant
manager in many establishments in San Francisco and Sonoma County
then purchased “Bucks 311” bar in Healdsburg. He also owned a ranch
in Alexander Valley, and loved working his ranch.
He is survived by his four children Jeff Basili (Cindy) of
Ukiah, Marcia Tosti (Phil) of Kelseyville, Mark Basili (Patti) of
Middletown and Robert (Bob) Basili of Kelseyville. He is also
survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held March 7, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Weibel
Winery Tasting Room, 3813 Hwy. 175, Hopland. Call Jeff for

Irene Dickens Brown – Worked as public school secretary
for 25 years

Passed away Monday, February 23, 2009 in Healdsburg, CA. Born in
France, Irene came to the United States as a young child. Raised
and educated in San Francisco, CA., she moved with her husband
Warren and family to Santa Rosa, CA where she worked in the public
school system as a school secretary for 25 years. She later moved
to Healdsburg, CA where she was residing at the time of her 
passing.
Irene is survived by her husband of 24 years and devoted
caregiver  Charles E. Brown. She is also survived by her son Ronald
Dickens and his wife Betty, her grandsons Alex Dickens, Jeff
Dickens, Nate Pile, Tim Pile, Steve Pile, six greatgrandchildren,
her former son-in-law Doug Pile and his wife Jan, her step-children
Michael Brown and Patricia Borrero, many cherished nieces and
nephews, extended  family members, and friends.  Irene was preceded
in death by her first husband Ronald Dickens, her second husband
Warren Dickens, and her daughter Eileen “Muffie” Dickens Pile.
Irene had a very spirited disposition. She was most happy when
she was starting a new project, planning a trip, preparing
delicious food for us, and making us laugh. She was dearly loved
and will be greatly missed. Honoring Irene’s wishes, there will be
no memorial service, and the internment at Santa Rosa Memorial Park
will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in
Irene’s memory to Heartland Hospice Services, 2455 Bennett Valley

Nancy L. Montoya – Sonoma County resident 55
years

Nancy Montoya died on Feb. 27, 2009 at home in Santa Rosa, at
the age of 56 surrounded by her family. She was born in San
Francisco and had been a Sonoma County resident the past 55
years. 
She worked in the child care and teaching fields for 25 years.
She enjoyed camping, gardening, loved the outdoors and was a member
of the Buncoette’s of Kenwood.
Montoya was preceded in death by her mother Frances Emig. She is
survived by her husband of 32 years, Tony Montoya; daughter,
Danielle Montoya; son, Matthew Montoya; brother, Richard (Anna)
Emig; step-sister, Judy (Del) Hodges; step-brother, Bill Hastings;
father, Walter (Wilma) Emig; niece and nephew, Kristina and Michael
Emig; in-laws, Tony and Juanita Montoya; and numerous other family
members.
Donations may be made in her name to Memorial Hospice or the
American Cancer Society.
Linda Ilene Henneberry-Cornelius – Proprietress of Roads
End Farm

Linda Henneberry-Cornelius died in the presence of her family
and her friends Ken and Judy Wollman on Feb. 19, 2009. She was born
Linda Ilene Walker Kelly on May 28, 1938 in San Francisco to Col.
Howard and Madge Kelly, and spent much of her youth abroad. Linda
was a Pearl Harbor Survivor and went to school in England. She
returned to Vacaville to finish high school. In 1956, she married
Stephen Henneberry and had three children; John Henneberry of
Chico, CA, Kelly Fisk of Sandpoint, ID and Liz Hasson of Hemet,
CA.
In 1971, she met her second husband, Bobby Cornelius. They
married in 1986 and she increased her family including Bob’s
children Bobby, Jack, Jim and Lynda.
In 1991 they retired to the ‘Roads End Farm’ in Sebastopol. For
many years, while Bob sold produce at the Santa Rosa Farmers
Market, Linda managed the Farmers Market where she made more
friends. She could often be seen wandering the market in her
signature birthday cake hat. Her last years were spent enjoying her
many flower gardens and cats, Mickey Moose, Dudley and Kinkajou
(three of 15) at the Roads End Farm. The Farm became the gathering
spot for the family and a place for her many grandchildren to play.
Cornelius was the cornerstone of the family and kept them all in
touch.
She is survived by her husband Bobby Cornelius; her brother
Michael Kelly; his wife Janice Lee and all of her children and
grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of
flowers, donations can be made to your local hospice in her
name.
Marvin H. Good – Operated Goods’ Holiday Tree
Ranch

Marvin Good, Col., USAF died at age 88 on Monday, Feb. 23,2009
at home with his family. Born in Detroit, Michigan Jan. 14, 1921
and attended Michigan State University where he met and married
Jeanne Spring in 1942. During WWII, Good joined the Army Air Corps
serving as a flight instructor. Thus began his and Jeanne’s 32 year
adventure as a United States Air Force family, traveling throughout
the world. Good was a test pilot, flew fighter combat in the Korean
and Vietnam Wars and received many military honors such as Legion
of Merit and Bronze Star. He commanded both the 84th FIS (Hamilton
Air Force Base ) and 317th FIS (Elmendorf AFB, Alaska) and received
the Hughes Trophy for both squadrons for excellence. Upon retiring
from military service as base commander at Hamilton AFB, the Goods
lived 37 years in Sonoma County. They operated their Goods’ Holiday
Tree Ranch, Sebastopol. He was active in farm trails, farm bureau
and California Christmas Tree Growers. His wife and daughter
Patricia preceded him in death. He leaves behind his daughters
Terry Good and Sally Parks (Bob), grandson Adam (Laura), Erik
(Terri) and Michael (Sophia Fonseca) Parks, PFC Robert Kneisley
(Traci) and five grandchildren.
Full military honors will be conducted at the gravesite, Santa
Rosa Memorial Park at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2009.

Luella A. Kraft – Sebastopol resident since
1975

Luella Kraft died in Santa Rosa on Feb. 6, 2009. She was born
Oct. 2, 1913 to Fredrick and Martha Wiebers in Oak Park Illinois,
and married Raymond E. Kraft June 2, 1934 in Oak Park. They had
three children, Georgia, Elyse and Fred. In 1947, the family moved
to their home in Bolinas. When they lived in San Anselmo, Kraft
worked as a kitchen designer, real estate agent, seller of fine
jewelry, and other various jobs, all the while working as a
volunteer at Marin General hospital for many years. In 1975, the
family moved to Sebastopol. She continued volunteering at Palm
Drive Hospital and was involved in other community activities.
After her husband died in 2000, she sold her house in Sebastopol
and moved to Santa Rosa. She is survived by her daughters, Georgia
Frey and friend Rick, Elyse Schule and husband, John, and her son,
Fred Kraft. Her grandchildren, Debra Murray, Denise Austin and John
Frey. Her great-grandchildren, Danielle Frey, Elizabeth Andrews,
and Justin Allan. A Memorial Service will be held in Bolinas for
Ray and Luella on May 2, 2009. Donations may be made to a local
hospice.
