Helen Ann Danielson (Price) passed into God’s loving and merciful hands early on April 24th, 2017 from complications from a stroke.
Helen was born May 3, 1935 to James and Harriet Price in San Francisco. She was the youngest of eight children. All have preceded her in passing.
She graduated from Balboa High School in 1953 and married her life-long sweetheart, partner and mate Norm in 1954. They moved to San Bruno in 1961, and then to Windsor in 1994. After Dad passed in 2010, Mom slipped fast in to Dementia. Because of that we moved her into assisted living in San Mateo in 2014.
Helen and Norm had four children; a son James, died shortly after birth in 1956. Surviving children are Dan (Cindy), Cindy (Rick Coates) and Jackie. Grandchildren: Kyle (Janette), Jenny (Dwayne Fletcher), Maika, Asena, Nick and Sara, and three great-grandchildren: Luke Warner James Fletcher, Ozzie Derek and Jovie Raye Danielson.
Mom enjoyed scrapbooking for her grandkids and all were given large caches of their own personal history several years ago. Mom and Dad were instrumental in the formation of Girls Softball in San Bruno in the early 1970s. They loved cruising and enjoyed 22 cruises together. However, Anywhere Together was enough for both of them. Family gatherings were always festive and happy times! And all Holidays were a time of joy and celebration! Mom made them special that way.
Helen was Team Mom, Scorekeeper, Den Mother, PTA Member, Church Choir singer, cook, house cleaner, co-pilot to Dad, Beloved Daughter & Sister, Auntie, friend, ‘Mom’ to us and Grandma to her beloved six grandchildren. She only met one of her great-grandchildren, Luke. But was a lover of all little ones.
Thank You Lord for allowing us to have her as long as you did. And Thank You for having the mercy to take her home when you did.
A celebration of Helen’s life will be held at the Sixteen (16) Mile House in Millbrae on May 13th at 1 pm.
Final Internment with Dad will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Windsor at a date yet to be determined by family.
Donations of any type would be gladly accepted at Sally’s (Salvation Army) or Green Dog Rescue in Windsor in Helen’s name.
