Editor: I am writing you today to tell you about an amazing person within our community. Her name is Pamela G. Whiting, DVM and is the solo owner of Windsor Oaks Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Whiting has been our personal veterinarian since 2010, when our family moved to Windsor. Since then, she has taken excellent care of our beloved family dog, Annie.
On December 18, 2012, Annie consumed a large amount of dark chocolate. Knowing chocolate can be toxic, I called Dr. Whiting to see what to do. The incident happened at about 5:30 and I knew the clinic was closing. Dr. Whiting had me bring Annie to the clinic where she could evaluate Annie. After seeing Annie, the vet determined that Annie was in severe danger and could possibly die. The vet worked on Annie until 11 p.m. that night and did everything possible to save Annie’s life. Annie was saved due to the incredible work and dedication from Dr. Whiting. I hope to make the Windsor community aware of this wonderful person working and helping so many of our beloved friends.
