Entered in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, with her loving family by her side. She endured complications from cancer for several years, but spent her last days enjoying visits from family and friends.
Barbara was born in Healdsburg on August 18, 1955, graduated from high school in 1973, married Richard Salvadori in 1975, and together raised four children. Barbara lived out her faith in Jesus Christ by serving and being a blessing to many people at various churches and other local non-profit agencies. Also, she actively supported children in foreign countries as well as missionaries worldwide. In 2012, she honored her mother’s 100th year of life by giving away 100 bags of supplies to needy individuals.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Rick Salvadori, parents Rev. Wilmer and Marion Bruner, brothers Fredrick and Donald Bruner, and grandson Nathan Hambly.
Barbara is survived by her children Tina Salvadori, Holly (David) Hambly, Leah (Jimmy) Miller, and Timothy (Lena) Salvadori. She leaves behind her greatest joy, nine beloved grandchildren: Richard, Jacob, Allan, William, Emily, Tydon, Rocklyn, Luca, and Olivia; and two sisters Marilyn Bruner (Arthur) Howell of KS and Idamay Bruner (Musa) Abed of WA.
In lieu of flowers, Barbara requested that memorial gifts be made to Gospel for Asia to purchase water filters for needy families in remote areas. Contributions may be sent to 761 Rose Lane, Healdsburg, CA 95448 – Attention: Gospel for Asia.
Barbara was laid to rest in the Oak Mound Cemetery on April 19th. A memorial service will be held in her honor at New Song Community Church, 15 Bluebird Dr., Windsor, CA on April 28, at 3 p.m.
