Editor: Prior to rudely being booed and asked to sit down at the recent Lytton hearing, I was going to make these points: There was no Windsor objection to WorldMark building a 210-room hotel in here. There was no objection by Windsor residents when Thiessen built our “new” old town and there were no objections when dozens of outside contractors built thousands of tract homes eagerly ripping out farms, trees and vineyards in the process. Windsor now has a population of over 26,800 new residents since 1980 and a select newer few are upset at Native Americans building a winery, smaller hotel and 150 upscale homes on land purchased outside Windsor’s boundaries? How hypocritical can these folks be? The objections are NIMBY and xenophobic.
