Kudos to Windsor High School’s administration for making an effort to change the culture at Windsor High School dances. The popular but very intimate and raunchy style of dancing called grinding, where the guy stands behind the girl and they rub their “hips” together, can be taken too far and is offensive to many. For those of you unfamiliar with “grinding,” check it out on YouTube or ask a teenager. All students should feel comfortable attending school dances. Be aware and volunteer. Let’s help our children have fun in a safe and respectable manner.

Backwards?

The angled parking spaces along Old Redwood Highway in front of the future Oliver’s are backwards. To park, drivers will be forced to cross a double yellow line into oncoming traffic. To back out, you will have to back into on-coming traffic and re-cross the double yellow line. This is an obvious oversight and signed off by someone who thinks we are in Great Britain and drive on the left. Perhaps this should be changed prior to the Grand Opening?
