Editor: Roughly seven years ago, our small town of Healdsburg
was introduced to a brand-new and luxurious hotel…”Hotel
Healdsburg”. At the time, I was one of those residents that
wondered how this new modern hotel would fit in with our “small
town” character? I guess you can say, I was skeptical of how this
hotel could ever be a part of our community — a community in which
people, and businesses would come together in times of need, and
help those less fortunate. Help our local schools, charity and
fundraising groups; and sports programs. Well, as mentioned before,
I am a resident of this town, and a local high school coach. And I
would like to take this opportunity to thank Hotel Healdsburg,
their manager Aziz Zhari and their entire staff for doing just that
— becoming a part of our community since 2002.
Since then, they have managed to raise a great deal of money for
various programs and charities, as well as the schools. And just
last month, they came to the rescue of the Healdsburg High School
Boys Soccer Program! They opened their doors to us, and offered us
a great place in their hotel to hold our end of the year soccer
banquet. And if they take us again next year, we hope to make it
our new home for banquets — a tradition. Again, I would like to say
“thank you Hotel Healdsburg” for being there for your
community!
