Lucky to have Habitat

Editor: I feel lucky to have recently attended the Habitat for
Humanity groundbreaking ceremony in Healdsburg, and to have met one
of the families that will be moving in.  
As a young mother who just recently returned to Sonoma County, I
know how hard it is for a young family to find affordable housing
here. It gave me hope to hear Mayor Eric Ziedrich talk about
Healdsburg’s multiple ongoing projects.
It was also great to hear praise from those present for the
Healdsburg City Council, and especially Councilman Mike McGuire,
who pushed this project from the beginning. I would like to thank
everyone involved for their efforts!
