End the hate
EDITOR: So, the Healdsburg Tribune proudly identifies itself as a liberal paper. I would like to know what that even means anymore, besides that the editor is anti-Trump and therefore biased? Judging by your many anti-Trump editorials this past two years, I know this to be true.
I never knew so much biased media exists until Trump became president. Your paper is a blatant example of it. You, among others, have fed the hate of so many people and forced your hate on others. You disregarded anyone who just wanted to support their president and did nothing to stop your fellow liberals from bashing them constantly.
Hasn’t there been enough hate? You’re everyone’s paper, or at least you used to be. Please help end it now.
I am an online reader and my mom still lives there and reads your stuff and the PD, and I’m tired of her being influenced by you, and you causing us to fight.

Endorsement
EDITOR: We are supporting Mike Potmesil for Healdsburg school board and encourage all area residents to vote for Mike this fall.
We met Mike shortly after we relocated to Healdsburg five years ago and were impressed by his commitment as a volunteer to improve the educational experience of Healdsburg area students. Whether working with PSST to help coach local students, or to help students who will be the first in their families to attend college through FirstGen, Mike is passionate about helping kids succeed.
We’ve now learned about Mike’s extensive record as a school leader. As a principal in underperforming schools, he helped close the achievement gap for struggling students while providing a challenging school experience for kids with more resources. As a district administrator, he’s been responsible for helping to change the culture to one of collaboration and shared success. Mike is committed to being part of a team that transforms Healdsburg into an educational destination; a place where all area parents want to send their kids to the public schools.
We encourage neighbors to get to know Mike at one of many meet and greets happening around town. Go to mikepotmesil.com for more information.

For Gold
EDITOR: I am endorsing council member Leah Gold for re-election because she cares deeply about Healdsburg. She wants to preserve open space and recreation activities, ensure that there is sufficient housing for all community members and balance the needs of locals and visitors.
But what sets Leah apart is her leadership role in the tourism district development funds reallocation initiative. The city council voted to transfer 15 percent of transient occupancy tax funds from marketing expenses to an investment in community art and cultural activities.
Because of Leah’s work many nonprofit arts organizations benefited this year from HTID funds, i.e., Healdsburg Jazz Festival, Art After Dark, Corazon’s Day of the Dead celebration, Alexander Valley Film Festival, Raven Performing Arts Theater, Healdsburg Arts Festival and others.
Art and culture is a fundamental part of our community; we need it to flourish, to tell our story and to express ourselves. Please vote for Leah Gold on Nov. 6.
