Not afraid of wireless
Editor: I have been a Sebastopol resident for over 40 years.
Reading (a recent story in Santa Rosa’s daily newspaper) I learned
that I fear the radio waves caused by wireless meters. The article
stated, “The plan by PG&E to install wireless meters in area
homes, a controversial issue for Sebastopol residents who fear the
radio waves are a health hazard, will come before the City Council
for a second time Tuesday.”
The article should have read, “for some Sebastopol residents.” I
do not like being included in the group of Sebastopol residents who
act and think in such a hysterical manner. If I recall this same
group of “residents” stopped free Wi-Fi in Sebastopol

Lost faith
Editor: I wish to complain in the strongest terms regarding Gene
Nelson’s “Faith” column. I have read his opinion pieces in the last
several issues searching for something resembling commentary on
faith or spirituality and have been sorely disappointed.
Increasingly his column seems to be only a forum for him to express
his views on things as mundane as leaf blowers and other inane
details of life. He seems to have abandoned any pretense toward
issues of faith in his writings. The fact that he is a pastor
should not qualify any words he puts on paper to be listed as
“faith” issues. If you wish to retain his column please re-label it
as an opinion piece and solicit for a columnist to discuss matters
relating to faith.
