Foundation thanks
Editor: Thank you West County for the wonderful holiday present — your support to Open Our Hospital. The joy and generosity of the season is reflected in the good will and enormous community support for the Sonoma West Medical Center, now scheduled to open on April 6, 2015.
It has been through the efforts of an entire community — volunteer work, financial support and encouragement — that we have come to this place.
We need to put the past behind us and celebrate our new beginnings with an emergency room, acute care hospital (including surgery, inpatient ward, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, etc) and our outpatient institutes which will feature services including specialized surgery, integrated medicine, rheumatology, endocrinology and neurology (including our stroke center) and telemedicine. A new model will be serving our community and beyond with all the services and quality we have proudly enjoyed through 70 years and even more of a 21st century look at modern medicine and services.
It is a wonderful way to begin the New Year — knowing that we will have our hospital and our community will make it happen.
