Benefit to majority
EDITOR: I find it disconcerting that a small group of elitist gentry on the outskirts of Sebastopol can hold hostage something that would benefit the majority of citizens. The radio waves are free to everyone.
There are still people who are not glued to a computer screen or plugged into a phone gadget.

EDITOR: In March, the IEEE, the world’s largest organization for the promotion of technology, published an article called, “Some Effects of Weak Magnetic Fields on Biological Systems — RF Fields can Change Radical Concentration and Cancer Cell Growth Rate.”
“Concerns have been raised about the possible biological effects of nonionizing radiation since at least the late 1950’s with respect to radar, other radio and microwave services.” There are concerns about the direct effects of radiation on humans and other organisms.
KOWS, in their meeting minutes, have identified Raspini Ranch as an equally viable location for their tower.
Community radio needs support and goodwill of the community they are serving. Why wouldn’t they graciously use a non-contentious location?
