Old Time Fiddle Festival
Editor:Â Â
We read about this contest in the Tribune and decided to attend. There were fiddle players of all ages, mandolin, guitar and bass players too. Outstanding musicians. If you did not attend you missed an opportunity to experience excellent music, different styles performed by different age groups.
We were amazed at the talented young people who competed with each other and then competed against adults and seniors for cash prizes. All judging was done in the blind as the judges only knew the number and competitive group of the participant.
We recommend that you put the 1st Saturday in April 2015 on your calendar and visit the festival at the Citrus Fair Grounds in Cloverdale.

Through the years

I would like to thank you for running Joyce Mann’s “Through the Years” column each week in the Reveille. Every article seems filled with interesting and amusing stories about our wonderful city’s past. I’m sure all in the community appreciate the little bit of hometown goodness she reveals to us through her column.
Thanks Joyce for the wonderful memories.

Enough already
Editor:Â Â
As a longtime Cloverdale Reveille subscriber, I grow weary of publisher Atkinson’s endless cheerleading for a controversial Federal program.
Is there anything other than Obamacare that Rollie supports?
Does he know we have a whole county worth of issues worthy of discussion in our most local of newspapers?
Is he on the Obamacare payroll?
It’s his newspaper of course, and he can write about sudoku or pickled beets every week if he likes, but we here in the hinterlands would like to read about things that have a more Sonoma County focus.
Besides, every paper, magazine, periodical and blog is aflame with Obamacare turmoil and troubles.
OK, alright already. We totally absolutely doubtlessly get that Rollie loves this law more than life itself.
Please find something else to pound into our thick rural skulls.
