Smith on a scoring tear for hoops squad
Senior forward Justin Smith enjoyed a great opening week of hoops for the varsity Jaguars, exploding for a combined 66 points in the team’s first four games. Smith was particularly effective in the season opener against visiting Elsie Allen on Nov. 28, pouring in a team-high 22 points.
Giddings an inside force for Lady Jags
Senior center Gabby Giddings was in near midseason form in her first three varsity basketball outings, combining for 44 points in the Lady Cat Classic Tournament at Marin Catholic. Giddings followed up a four-point effort against St. Ignatius with 16 and 14 point outbursts in the last two tourney games in an outstanding overall performance.
