Vielma a valuable veteran for Jags
Senior guard Uli Vielma is in the midst of a solid basketball season for the Jaguars contributing in all phases of the game. A steady ball handler and defender, Vielma has given the team productive minutes this year, emerging as one of the assist leaders on an unselfish team. The veteran guard turned in a typically strong game on Jan. 3 against Santa Rosa, contributing one point while dishing out five assists in a lopsided win.
Smith a big contributor for Lady Jaguars
Senior basketball forward Cecellia Smith is enjoying an outstanding year for the Lady Jaguars in her third varsity season, emerging among the team leaders in nearly every offensive category. Smith had one of her best efforts in a Jan. 4 meeting with Rancho Cotate, chipping in 12 points in an overtime loss to the Cougars.
