The month of December will not hold many fond memories for the Lady Jaguars when all is said and done in the 2017-18 soccer season, proving to be one of the cruelest months in recent years.
The team lost four starters due to season-ending injuries, including a pair of offensive stars in senior Katie Bianchi and sophomore Amber Balogh. In addition, the team lost four-year senior veteran senior Gillian Day and talented freshman Kira Anderson.
“The loss of those players has really impacted the offensive side of our game,” head coach Mark Archambault reported. “We’re making some adjustments in style of play and moving some players around to find some offense.”
At press time the Jags (5-3-2, 2-2) were preparing for a tough North Bay League road swing, starting with a Jan. 10 visit to Montgomery. Windsor will finish the stretch on Saturday, Jan. 13 when it travels to Maria Carrillo (at SRHS). Both varsity matches start at 6 p.m.
