Golf season – The Windsor Golf Club serves as the Jaguar’s home course.

Play is underway for the Windsor High School boys golf team, a squad hoping to move up the ladder in the North Bay League hierarchy this season.
Led by returning coach Shannon Pellman, the Jaguars are fielding a relatively young team in 2018, combining a solid group of three returning veterans with a talented mix of varsity newcomers.
Heading the list of experienced veterans is junior team captain AJ Harmier, one of the top players in the Redwood Empire. He’ll be joined by senior assistant captain Grant Tracy and junior returnee Ethan Bautista.
Among the group of first-year players are promising freshmen Seth Nordahl, Will Schettler and Carlos Perdemos.
“We have a pretty young team, but are getting great leadership from our number one and two players,” Pellman reported. “The new players are gaining valuable experience and it will pay dividends in the next couple of years. “AJ Harmier has demonstrated outstanding leadership, even as he chases his personal goal of being the best player in the league.”
The team has already logged three outings on the NBL tournament circuit, finishing among the middle of the pack in each match. Windsor Golf Club will serve as the Jaguar’s home course again this season.
“As a team we’ve been seeing some ups and downs in terms of scores, but they keep working, and continue to demonstrate great attitudes,” Pellman noted.
The Jaguars most recently competed in a league tournament at Foxtail South Golf Club in Rohnert Park on March 20, as Harmier fired a 75 to take top scoring honors.
Windsor will resume league tournament action with a pair of outings this week, beginning on Wednesday, March 28 at Oakmont East Golf Club, followed by a match at Oakmont West Golf Club on Thursday, March 29. Both matches start at 2 p.m.
