De Casas swinging hot bat for Lady Jags
Senior softballer Alyssa De Casas got her team off to a sensational start to the spring season in the Feb. 28 opener against visiting San Rafael, putting on a hitting clinic to lead a 15-1 five inning rout over the Bulldogs. Batting in the leadoff spot, De Casas collected three hits in four plate appearances, scoring three runs while driving in three in a great outing.
Soltanizadeh off to a fast start for Jags baseballers
Junior Cyrus Soltanizadeh is in near midseason form in the first week of the baseball campaign, turning in a great outing in his season debut against Healdsburg. Soltanizadeh led a strong offensive attack, ripping three hits in four trips, including a double and three runs batted in to key a 9-1 victory over the Greyhounds.
