Throughout the school year the Tribune will name a male and female athlete of the week. Recipients will receive a sausage with two toppings, a choice of a side order and a non alcoholic beverage from The Wurst restaurant in Healdsburg.
Bozeman sets tone for strong track season
Junior Natalie Bozeman set the tone for a strong spring season with a solid performance at the North Coast Extravaganza track and field meet on Saturday at Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa, the second competition of the year. Late to the meet after taking the SAT test in the morning, Bozeman made up for lost time by running a strong leg on Healdsburg’s 4 x 1,600 Meter Relay team.
Martin a key veteran for Hounds baseball team
Junior infielder Spencer Martin is off to a great start in his third varsity baseball campaign, leading the Greyhounds with his bat and glove. A sure-handed infielder, Martin swung a hot bat at the plate in a pair of recent preseason games against St. Helena and Clear Lake, collecting three hits in seven trips while driving in three runs.
