This week’s Our Lady of Guadalupe Church’s Catholic Youth Organization game of the week was a fifth grade girls 29-8 win over St. John’s of Healdsburg. First year coaches Chris Trusendi and James Leandro improved their North Bay CYO record to 4-1.

The first half was all about Olivia Wright as the low post player put in 10 points to give the local girls a 23-2 halftime advantage. The Windsor team clearly eased up in the second half in the spirit of good sportsmanship.

Wright led all scorers with her ten points. Emma Leandro followed with six. Katie Calegari and Karma Gibbons both added four. Danielle Ott and Sofia Farias rounded out the scoring with three and two points respectively.

The OLG CYO basketball league has 265 boys and girls, of all skill levels, playing on 25 teams. Players are in the third through eighth grades. Home games are played on Saturdays and Sundays at Windsor Middle School.
