It was the fifth grade girls turn for action in this week’s Our Lady of Guadalupe Church’s Catholic Youth Organization game of the week. Coach Tyson Robertson’s team capitalized on a good first half then held on for the 12-11 win over St. Peter’s of Cloverdale.
The Windsor girls grabbed an 8-2 halftime advantage behind Megan Johnson’s six points. Both teams had four points in the third frame. The fourth quarter was all St. Peter’s but they couldn’t overcome the local squad’s lead.
Johnson’s six points led all OLG scorers. Her sister Paige Johnson followed with four points and Jojo Robertson rounded out the scoring with her two points. The team improved their North Bay CYO league record to 3-2.
OLG plays their home games at Windsor Middle School. Saturday games are 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday games are from 11:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. The public is invited to attend all games.
