A heartbreaking 25-23 loss to St. Eugene’s of Santa Rosa is this week’s Our Lady of Guadalupe Church’s Catholic Youth Organization game of the week. The fourth grade boys did have their largest scoring outburst of the season but dropped to 0-7 in North Bay CYO play.

St. Eugene led by six with three minutes to go when OLG started their comeback. They were down by one with 19 seconds left when Wyatt Chapula stepped up to the line and made his free throw for the tie. St. Eugene went down and scored. OLG had a shot at the buzzer but came up short.

Chapula led all scorers with his 13 points including seven from the charity stripe. Gavin Rosebaugh followed with five. Noah Geist and Colby Mounts rounded out the scoring with three and two points respectively.

OLG CYO basketball now has three weeks left remaining in the NBCYO regular season. Home games are played on Saturdays and Sundays at Windsor Middle School. The public is invited to attend all games.
