Summer stars – The 10-under all-star baseball team was one of five all-star teams representing Windsor in Cal Ripken State tournaments around Northern California this season.

The 2019 baseball season will likely end for Windsor youth baseball all-star teams this week, a stretch that saw a flurry of action in Cal Ripken State All-star tournaments in venues around Northern California.  
Representing Windsor were the 8-under, 9-under, 10-under, 12/60 and 12/70 squads.
The 8-under all-stars, led by manager Robert Hollingsworth and coaches Josh Seymour, Lee Cooper and James Leon, opened their tournament on June 22 in Hayward with a 15-0 rout over Woodland but fell the following day to Fremont, 17-8. The boys bounced back with an 18-7 rout over Laguna Gray, but were eliminated by the Rohnert Park Blue on June 25, 13-11. 
The 8-under all-stars included Kyle Fredson, Hudson Seymour, Atticus Resch, Nolan Sinnott, Kason Witherell, Jack Kramer, Noah Leon, Robert Hollingsworth Jr., Grant Skerrett, Chase Cooper, Sam Savano and Collin Hollingsworth.
The 9-under all-stars are led by manager Haywood Brown and coaches Shawn Murphy and Esteban Baldenegro. The team includes Cody Homan, Brandon Anderson, Callan Guerra, Vincent Barcenas, Cruz Baldenegro, Tyler Fredson, Adam Alford, Jack Morris, Lukas Brown, Charlie Powell, Deacon Murphy and Cristian Chavez.
The 10-under all-stars, led by manager Dave McFerren and coaches Travis Taylor, Steve Kramer and Craig Garbo, opened the state tourney in Elk Grove on June 22 with a 13-1 romp over River Park, followed by a 5-2 win over Elk Grove. The Windsor boys fell to Oakland, 12-8 on June 26, but stayed alive with a 8-6 victory over Elk Grove Gold. The magic ran out the following day, falling to the Elk Grove Blue, 10-6. Windsor finished the tourney an impressive fourth out of 14 participating teams.
The 10-under all-stars consist of Rogan Billigmeier, Kadin Jones, Tanner Boyce, Keyen Nevarez, Dylan McFerren, Gage Skerrett, Cade Taylor, Samuel Garbo, Jackson Levar, Charlie Kramer, Kaiden Lassen, AJ Rakoski and Calen Levar.
The 12/60’s, a combined 11-and-12-year-old all-star squad, opened their tournament in Rohnert Park with a 4-0 win over Rohnert Park Red on June 29, but fell later that afternoon, 13-0 to River Park.
The team was eliminated the following day when it fell to Hayward, 5-2. The 12/60 team was led by manager Earl Pasamonte and coaches Scott Simkins, Armon Azevedo and Mike Ramos. The roster includes Kaleb Khamvongsa, Brandon Cabalo, Gavin Curran, Korben Kellogg, Micah Sanders, Jake Simkins, Anthony Azevedo, Dylan Pasamonte, Jake Parnow, Dane Ramos, Brydan Aguirre and Jared Roy.
The 12/70 squad is the last local team standing in their Nor Cal tourney, opening play on June 29 with an 18-0 rout over Tracy.  Windsor suffered its first loss of the tourney the following day to the Laguna Purple, 8-1.
At press time Windsor was preparing to play in an elimination game on July 1. The team features manager Thomas Ford and coaches Temo Reyes and James Curry and includes players; Thomas Ford Jr., Jack Jacobs, Jhordany Barcenas, Aiden McFadden, Brandon Curry, Jace Morgan, Wyatt Dugan, Logan Thistle, Spencer Jacobs, Max McFerren, Wyatt Morris and Joshua Reyes.
