Town plans big party for the ‘Old Downtown’

Town of Windsor officials will hold a “Grand Opening” in the Old
Downtown next week to mark the completion of the first phase of the
downtown revitalization.
Led by builder Orrin Thiessen’s Town Green Village projects,
which include commercial and residential units, town officials will
host a celebration Thursday, June 26 from 5-8 p.m. in conjunction
with the regularly scheduled Summer Nights on the Green.
There will be food and beverages, live music, drawings for
$1,000 worth of goods and services, demonstrations at local
businesseses (chefs, artists and spas), the Windsor Farmers Market,
family lawn games, a photo display by the Windsor Historical
Society, a book sale by the Friends of the Windsor Library, open
houses at downtown businesses and a ribbon cutting for the first
phase of the Town Green Village. All events are free.
