TED Talks – Monday, Nov. 7 • 12:30-1:30 p.m.
TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas in the form of short, powerful talks that are 18 minutes or less. TED aims to provide a platform for thinkers, visionaries and teachers, so that people around the globe can gain a better understanding of the biggest issues faced by the world and feed a desire to help create a better future. Bring a brown bag lunch and enjoy this fascinating on-going viewing of different TED Talk videos. This is a social group and discussion is encouraged. Free to attend.
Computer users’ group – Monday, Nov. 14 • 1 – 4 p.m. • $3, newcomers free
Program presenters will be Bobby Tagnolli, general manager, and Michael Banvelos, tech support, of Windsor Office Depot. Their topic will be tablets and laptops. General question and answer period will be from 1 -2 p.m. The guest speakers will begin at 2 p.m.. Come, enjoy, learn and network.
Holiday crafters’ nook – Opens Monday, Nov. 14
Stop by the Senior Center lobby and browse our holiday crafters nook. Handcrafted items, made with love and care by Senior Center participants will be on display and available for purchase through Dec. 23.
Aerobics – Wednesdays • 9 – 9:45 a.m. • $5 Drop-in
Led by Certified Fitness Instructor Lilli Inman, this non-dance cardiovascular workout includes strengthening and balance work, as well as overall stretching. The class is taught to upbeat music, yet there are no tricky steps to follow. You will learn effective exercises that are fun and make it easy to enjoy exercise.
