Vacancy on Senior Citizen Advisory Commission
Would you like to play a defining role in how Windsor serves our senior community? The Town is currently seeking applications to fill a vacancy on the Senior Citizen Advisory Commission (SCAC). The SCAC serves in an advisory capacity to the Town Council to support the recreation programs and services offered to senior citizens and persons with disabilities. In order to qualify for the SCAC you must be a Windsor resident and 55 years or older. Completed applications must be submitted to the Town Clerk’s office no later than 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23. Applications may be obtained in the Town Clerk’s office located at 9291 Old Redwood Highway, Building 400, in Windsor or by visiting the Town’s website at: www.townofwindsor.com. AARP Safe Driving Class • Thursday, Feb. 23 • 1-5 p.m.
AARP Smart Driver courses are for drivers 50 and older. A certificate that may entitle a graduate to auto insurance discounts for three years is awarded upon completion. This renewal course will be four-and-a-half hours, and is only available to those who have completed the 8-hour course within the last four years. Please confirm in advance if you are eligible for the renewal course as this information is not available to the class instructor. Please register in person at the Senior Center Front Desk no later than Feb. 21. No cash or credit card payments accepted.
