Tax-Aide Program – Thursdays, Feb. 8 through April 12; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This AARP program provides free tax return preparation and advice. Preparers are highly trained. Please bring last year’s return and all documentation for this year’s return. No appointment needed; first-come, first-served. There is frequently a line so coming early is recommended. Computer Users Group – Monday, Feb. 12, 1 to 4 p.m. Fee is $3 (free to newcomers). Our guest speaker will be Ms. Paula Walsh from Vinecrest Tax Group who will be discussing and demonstrating, “Computer Tax Prep: The DIY Do’s and Don’ts.” A general Q&A period will be from 1 to 2 p.m. and includes a discussion about smartphone tricks and tips. iPad: Beyond the Basics, begins Wednesday, Feb. 21, 10 to 11:30 a.m. $45 for Windsor residents, $50 for non-residents. Now that you know how to get around your iPad and use some of the built-in apps, you are ready for more. Topics covered will include an in-depth look at customizing your iPad, as well as tips and tricks for making your iPad easier to use. Take control of understanding iCloud and how it works with your Apple ID, and see how Safari works as you surf the web to find what you need. You will also learn how to take and share photos, as well as find handy third-party apps that help in the kitchen, with travel and more. The class meets Feb. 21 and 28 and you must bring your own iPad to class. Please register online or at the front desk.
Senior Women’s Support Group begins Monday, Feb. 26, 10 a.m. to noon. Community and Family Service Agency begins a 12-week senior women’s support group at the senior center.
