Invitation: The library wants to be-witch you this month!
I’m so glad the library has programs galore,
there are lots of events for all to explore.
I asked all my ghoul friends to go with me to paint,
‘Cause the great Frida Kahlo I certainly ain’t.
But Witchy’s too busy with spells for her craft,
that batty Fran Pire said, “Bite me,” and laughed.
Then I suggested we frost sugar skull, folks
and was wrongly accused of making a hoax!
“How ‘bout storytime?” I asked, “It is Halloween.
Or making bath bombs; they’ll keep us all clean.”
Yet none of my spirited friends would agree,
to go to the library and participate with me.
Ghost Lee keeps fading (which has me going nuts),
and Skeleton’s daughter does not have the guts.
Frankenstein’s family had sparked no desire,
while Jackie O-Lantern just wants to perspire.
Zombie’s a dream, but she’s still in a trance,
thus I’ll go it alone, my life to enhance.
Why don’t you come too for a guaranteed treat?
No tricks, all free—it just can’t be beat!
