Senior speedster Tracy Webster achieved just about everything
possible in a star-studded four-year track career at Analy. On
Friday, she reached the pinnacle with an appearance at the State
Track & Field Championships.
³It¹s been a great four years- I accomplished everything I
wanted to at Analy,² said Webster, who will move on to Sonoma State
on a soccer scholarship in the fall. ³It was an honor to be at the
State meet and compete with so many amazing athletes.²
Webster, running in one of three groups on Friday, took seventh
in her heat in a time of 12.43. She did not advance to the finals
on Saturday.
The prestigious meet held at Cerritos College in Norwalk, was
icing on the cake for the gifted and diminutive senior, who will
graduate this month as one of the finest track & field athletes
in Analy school history.
Webster¹s impressive track resumé includes an AHS record in the
100 meters with an official time of 12.0 seconds, four straight
Sonoma County League 100-meter titles, a pair of SCL 200-meter
titles and a league 100-meter-hurdles championship. She also ran a
leg on four straight SCL champion 4×100-meter relay teams,
including the 2003 squad that is the current school
record-holder.
In addition to her track exploits, Webster was a four-time
all-league selection for the Lady Tigers on the soccer field and
was named the 2005 defensive Most Valuable Player last fall.
