The Cloverdale cross country team played host to St. Helena, Fort Bragg and Willits in a quad meet on the Eagles home course at Asti Winery on Oct. 12, an event that featured ideal weather and outstanding performances.
St. Helena swept the varsity boys and girls team competition, with Fort Bragg finishing second and Cloverdale third.
The Eagles’ Paden Collard was the top male finisher for the varsity boys, easily besting the field on the 3.0 mile course in a sizzling 17:05. Frederike Tschernich was the top Cloverdale finisher for the varsity girls, placing fourth overall.
