The CHS men’s cross country team secured their first league victory at St. Helena last Wednesday, Sept. 28. Paden Collard led the team over the 3-mile course in 17:17. Everett Conway (21:56), Joseffa Sauvou (22:19), Finn Addison (23:36) and Tucker Morgan (23:40) rounded off the scoring, recording a total of 24 points as a team. Miguel Gonzalez (25:00) and Alex Visconti (32:31) secured the win as the sixth and seventh runners for the Eagles.

The ladies were led by Julie Edwards (22:09), finishing second overall. Sami Santana (26:27), Grisselle Herrera (27:47), Cristina Cardenas (27:58) and Eden Winniford (28:40) rounded out the scoring, bringing the ladies’ team total to 38 points (to Kelseyville’s 20 points). Gaby Ganoa (29:04) had an outstanding performance, toughing it out over the hilly course.
The CHS Eagles hope to secure another team win at their first home meet on Wednesday, Oct.4 (after press time) at Asti Winery. The girls will race at 3:30 p.m. followed by the boys. Thank you parents, teachers, and administration for your continued support.
