Girls unbeaten at 12-0; set to close out NCL 1 season this week
The Lady Eagles have climbed the mountain for a second straight year, clinching no worse than a share of their second consecutive league basketball championship, with lopsided wins over Lower Lake 71-41 and Willits (67-26).
At press time Cloverdale (12-0, 20-4) was preparing to finish up the NCL 1 schedule with home games against Clear Lake (Feb. 5) and St. Helena on Senior Night (Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.). One win in the final two games would give the Eagles the league title outright.
Also looming on the horizon is the North Coast Section (NCS) playoffs, which start next week. The NCS seeding committee will meet this Sunday to fill out the divisional brackets.
