READY TO ROLL — Cloverdale quarterback Shayne Turner handed off to running back Jone Wesele in a league game in October. The Eagles will visit top seeded Kelseyville on Saturday, Nov. 24 in a much-anticipated NC

Quarterfinal clash rescheduled for Nov. 24 at 7 p.m.
The wait is almost over for the much-anticipated North Coast Section Division 5 quarterfinal football clash between #8 seeded Cloverdale and #1 Kelseyville.
The game, originally scheduled for Nov. 9, has been on hold for two weeks due to poor air quality as a result of the Camp Fire in Butte County, severely hampering the team’s normal schedule.
All systems appear go for Saturday, Nov. 24 in Kelseyville (7 p.m.), where the teams will meet for the second time this season. The Knights scored a hard-fought, 22-15 win in the first meeting on Oct. 5.
“I would estimate we’ve had five practices over the past two weeks or so (due to the smoke),” CHS head coach Greg Alexander said. “At this point in the year with the limited practice time we’re just hoping to come out sharp, play mistake-free football and let the cards fall where they may. With their bye last week, Kelseyville has been off for a month and I’m sure they’re going through the same struggles we are.”
