All good things eventually come to an end, and so it went for the Eagle’s JV squad on Apr. 22 in dropping its first game of the season to visiting Kelseyville.   Cloverdale starter Chris Harms (5 IP, 2 hits, 1 run, 8 Ks) had just a workout to show for his solid efforts, pitching the first five innings before turning the ball over to Michael McDermott (2 IP, 6 hits, 5 runs, 3 Ks) in a 6-5 loss.
Pacing the Eagle’s offense were Mason Meier (2 for 4, 2 RBIs), Harms (2 for 4, RBI), Patrick Ojeda (2 for 3), Travis Kitowski (1 for 4), Angel Vega (1 for 4), and Mason Kostoff (1 for 3).
Cloverdale (7-1, 13-1) was back at it on Friday at Willits, climbing back into the win column with a great performance by starter Michael McDermott (7 IP, 7 hits, BB, 9 Ks) in a 5-2 victory. Top hitters were Ojeda (1 for 4, RBI), McDermott (1 for 2, RBI), Cole Stroh (1 for 3), and Kostoff (1 for 3).
