The Eagles will return home this Friday, May 2 to host Middletown, followed by a trip to Fort Bragg next Tuesday, May 6. First pitch for all games is 4 p.m.
Eagles take three
It was all Cloverdale in the April 22 home clash with Kelseyville, as pitcher Teanne Edens (6 Ks) baffled the Knights in a one-hit shutout.
The Eagles plated eight runs in the fourth inning to bust it wide open, forcing an early stoppage after five frames for a 14-0 win. Top hitters were Edens (2 for 3, run, 4 RBIs), Jasmin Orozco (1 for 2, 2 runs, RBI), Monica Lemley (1 for 2, 2 runs, RBI), and Jordyn Turner (1 for 3, run, RBI).
The dominance continued on Apr. 24 against visiting Fort Bragg, as Edens logged another one-hit, seven strikeout performance in an 11-1 romp. Pacing the Cloverdale hit squad were Edens (1 for 3, 2B, 2 runs, RBI), Kelsi Sibert (2 for 3, HR, 3 runs, 6 RBIs), Turner (1 for 2, run), Lemley (1 for 3), Hailey Donahoo (1 for 3, run, RBI), and Orozco (1 for 3).
Cloverdale completed a clean sweep over league foes under threatening skies on Apr. 25, scoring a 12-1 win at Willits. Edens (5 IP, 0 hits, 12 Ks) had full command of her pitches in firing a no-hitter, with the only Willits run coming after an Eagles error. Swinging hot bats were Turner (1 for 1, 3 runs, 2 RBIs), Lemley (1 for 2, 2 RBIs), Celeste Gastineau (1 for 2, 3 runs, RBI), Orozco (1 for 3, 2 runs, RBI), and Amy Mora (3 RBIs).
