Warehouse district businesses to host open houses to all love run

Healdsburg’s fourth annual 5K Love Run – which will occur on Saturday, Feb. 23, takes on a new twist this year. The Love Run will team up with the many businesses of the Warehouse District to showcase new openings, products and offerings. The run will also team up with the continued partnership of the Live Like Drew Foundation, the Healdsburg Firefighter’s Association and the founder of Love Run, Healdsburg Running Company.
“We are thrilled to give runners the insider scoop on this emerging area of Healdsburg, highlighting the unique businesses that locals and travelers have often not visited,” said Skip Brand, owner of Healdsburg Running Company. “We have changed the route to weave through the Warehouse District and invite participants to visit open houses following the race. This is a fun way for them to become more familiar with this thriving industrial neighborhood.”
The run will start at the Healdsburg Running Company and finish at the Healdsburg Fire Department for the annual Sweetheart Pancake Breakfast. The price for the pancake breakfast is not included with the race registration. A portion of the registration fees will once again benefit the Live Like Drew Foundation, also known as the Drew Esquivel Scholarship, which supports students and athletes from the Healdsburg area in their dream to attend college. The first 250 participants to register will receive a Love Run hat, and every additional runner will receive a free pair of Saucony Socks. The cost to register is $30. Kids 12 and under are free.
